Announcing Andrew Chung as BC's New Music Director
Toronto's finest/cheekiest/only 13-piece brass ensemble takes it up a notch with newly appointed music director Andrew Chung. Andrew tells us that when he checked out our website, he knew he wanted to work with us—there aren't many brass choirs around. And when he found out we were willing to switch rehearsal nights to be with him, losing a few players in the process due to scheduling, he was really touched, and the deal was sealed.
Mark down March 29 on your calendar for our 'BACH, BEETHOVEN, AND BRASS' concert at St. Peter's Anglican Church.
What do you get when you combine a bunch of brass musicians with a church, some sheet music, a few dark secrets, and a local pub? You get a Brass Conspiracy.
Founded in 2006 by tuba player Daniel Manley, Brass Conspiracy is a 14 piece brass choir that will play just about any style of music; they have great taste, but no discretion. From sweeping orchestral transcriptions of Beethoven, to funky Stevie Wonder arrangements, this talented pool of brass players will knock your socks off. If not, you can count on them for a lively pint at the pub afterwards.
